This week we attended the Moore Stephens North America “Transformation for Relevance” Conference in Chicago. On Tuesday morning Ron Baker talked about technology, people and clients and how they are causing us to rethink some of the fundamental business models and practices. Value pricing was a theme and the breakout sessions were built around Ron’s message. In the vendor collaboration session MSNA members heard how vendors are working to help firms address problems they encounter in serving clients, developing people, and managing their firms. During the tax breakout session several attendees noted SurePrep’s place in their 1040 tax document automation workflow. Topics included innovation in service offerings, creation of alliances to meet new client expectations, and transition toward an advisory and consulting practice from a predominantly compliance focus. The community and networking event was a fun opportunity for members and vendors to mingle and strengthen relationships in a social setting. We look forward to the spring conference in May, 2018!
