Why SurePrep?Training and onboarding

Training and onboarding

SurePrep provides a map for all your training and implementation needs.

We have been helping customers implement new technologies since 2002 and we continue to perfect our onboarding implementation methodology today.

It is our goal at SurePrep to not just provide you the leading-edge tax preparation productivity solutions, but to help you integrate them into your current workflow. To ensure a successful implementation, we will work with “advocates” at your firm to customize a training and onboarding plan.

Unlimited client support via email, phone, chat, and virtual meetings ensures that your needs are met.

Training is required for all SurePrep clients.

We have a plan to make you successful, and a process to make it happen

Our team will work with “advocates” at your firm to customize a training and onboarding plan. Your advocates should easily adapt to and embrace change. Leadership and motivational skills are a plus.

Lead Advocate

This is your decision-maker. S/he knows the firm’s goals and expectations and has extensive tax knowledge. This person must lend support to the initiative and should have the authority to enforce change and be the go-to-person for questions from all levels. S/he may serve as the Project Manager and be responsible for the successful project completion.

Administrative Advocate

Understands front-end processes, familiar with tax documents and may have limited client knowledge. S/he should have extensive tax knowledge.

Preparer Advocate

Understands the preparation of the tax return, including organizing, annotating, and completing the data entry of source documents into the tax return.

Reviewer Advocate

Has extensive tax knowledge and understands the review process of the tax return including utilizing the binder review tools such as annotations, notes, sign off, and reconciling the tax return to the source documents.

IT Advocate

Responsible for installing software, maintaining program directories, and possibly account configuration. Has the ability to install programs with administrator rights.

Kickoff meeting

The onboarding process begins with an introduction meeting between you and your SurePrep onboarding team. This meeting should take place shortly following your purchase and installation of SPbinder.

The goals of this meeting are to introduce the team members, discuss your firm’s goals and expectations, and get a brief overview of your current workflow. In this meeting you will also define your success metrics.

Attending team members: All advocates.

Customized training program

Training consists of self-guided trainings and a case study. SurePrep will define which trainings are required to be viewed for each user role. After viewing the self-guided trainings, your team will complete the case study. Your SurePrep Client Success team member will check in with your advocates to monitor the progress of your training, answer questions, and reinforce SurePrep best practices.
